Krav Maga Institute provides an authentic source for Krav Maga self-defense training as well as a comprehensive fitness program to support your goals. Our primary goal is to provide the best self-defense training possible, with realistic scenarios, practical training, exceptional instruction, and personal attention in a safe and controlled environment.
Krav Maga Institute offers training throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. It is headquartered in Berkeley, CA with a 7000 square foot gym, featuring three separate training rooms, cutting edge training equipment found nowhere else, and a full program for adults and kids, including Krav Maga, Grappling, Cardio Kickboxing, Cross Training, Kettlebell, TRX, and Full Combat (a full-contact fighting system based in Krav Maga philosophy and found only at KMI). KMI San Francisco is a new facility located in Hayes Valley with a 2400 square foot gym featuring two training rooms. KMI also has classes in San Rafael. KMI is a multi-lingual facility, offering instruction in English, Hebrew, Spanish, and French.

New Kid’s Program! Starting May 15th!
We are happy to announce that starting May 15th, we will be launching our new Kid’s Program. We will no longer be offering our 6-8 week sessions, we will instead be having on going kid’s classes at the same Tuesday/Thursday 5:00pm time. No more pesky session fees, now you will be able to have your children training Krav Maga with Isaac for a low monthly price! Your children will get the best Krav Maga training around. They will learn how to deal with confrontation in a non-violent way by gaining the necessary confidence through effective self-defense training. We will be going over all relevant scenarios, from street confrontations with strangers to bullying, learning the Krav Maga way of deescalation, avoidance and defending and countering when necessary. Scenario
While we call this technique “choke from the side,” we use choke to mean any form of hand-based pressure on the arteries and throat tissue, as well as any hand-based controlling move to the victim’s neck, such as a hold or grab perhaps in order to continue with other attacks such as headbutts or more.
